Solid Patio Covers
Solid patio covers give full protection from the sun and rain but can reduce the interior sun light in the daytime. This 3 level solid cover provides protection from the elements and allows light into the house
Lattice Patio Covers
Lattice is beautiful. The industry standard for the spacing of the slates of an alumawood patio cover is a 2 inch tube with a 2 inch space in between. Alumawood lattice also comes in 3 inch wide by 2 inch high. I suggest the wider lattice and a somewhat small spacing to create more shade but retaining the beauty of lattice.

I use Alumawood manufactured by Amerimax building Products
The paint on Amerimax Alumawood has a limited lifetime warranty on pealing cracking and fading. It is made by dupont and has teflon in it so don't eat the paint. As far as i know, this is the best warranty in the industry.
